Christian
Education (The
Charlton Bible - Company Section) The
Charlton Bible was presented to the Manchester and District Battalion by the
former officers of the 32nd Manchester Company in memory of Edward
Charlton V.C. who served as a boy in the company.
Eddie Charlton was awarded the Victory Cross posthumously for bravery in
action April 1945, probably the last person to be awarded the V.C. in the 2nd
World War.
